Hitler had serious mental health pathologies and rages. Pathological anger can be serious.
There was a writer, Alice Miller, who claimed Hitler had been severely physically and emotionally abused in childhood and was "acting out" when he rose to power.
I admitted I had anger issues and issues I needed to acknowledge. Quiet Voice hasn't yet taken that initial step. It's not easy.
Anger can be productive. It lets us know our boundaries have been crossed.
For me the worst kind of anger can't be expressed because its target is unreachable. I''m angry with Keir Starmer and his stated intentions (has he no SHAME?) but there's bugger-all I can do about it. I'm not one for marching through the streets of London,,, all I can do is offer financial support to those lobby groups who are working on humanity's behalf.

No shit.
Information provided on a silver platter, and it is met with Ignorance with a Capital "I".
Pretending that by ignoring information presented, talking around it, making stuff up about the messenger, YES SIR-EEE SIR!!!! That will solve the problem that you ignore. Good luck with your life. You are one of their bitches.
Death and mayhem in your future, much more than what is already happening. Enjoy!

According to the Neo-Platonists each emotion can be either virtuous or evil. So, if you're glad because someone gets hurt, that's not "bonum gaudium" or virtuous joy but sadism. If you're glad because someone recovers from illness, that is then virtuous. So anger in the example of our resident Quiet Voice is the destructive anger. Yet, to be angry over injustice Plato says is virtuous. In that latter case, the anger still needs to be controlled by logic and that even applies to martial arts - don't fight in anger.
So, Platonism teaches the virtues we experience are relative. We never see them in their perfect form.
Of course, I get negative anger too but am more aware that kind of anger isn't the best approach. Even in martial arts they teach to fight cleverly - see Enter The Dragon and the boat scene with Bruce Lee.
I just found this. It summarises the point well. Earlier in the thread, Q. V. claimed the Jews had created communism and quoted some handy online source to support her claim. Below is a text from the 2nd century A.D. and the translation:
"Popularis factio roboratur, cum inops multitudo viribus obtinuerit adversus divitum facultates lexque (e) iussu populi fuerit promulgata, ut ex aequo liceat omnibus honores capessere."
"The popular party is strengthened, when the powerless multitude has gained strength against the resources of the rich, and a law has been promulgated by the command of the people, so that it may be equally permitted for all to receive honors (the same)."
That happened when the impoverished peasants and workers overthrew the Russian Tsar and created a peoples' state of total equality.
This is what we need to fully take on board. Random selection of preferred theories cherry picked online falls very flat. You "must" read real history to get context. By doing that, already we know the Jews did not invent communism. The Greeks did, as well as democracy.
David, why are you being so obstinate about the reality that is happening around you and around the world?
This is a psychology forum. It is a proper question to ask and develop a discussion around.
Why would one look at the events happening and the people behind the events happening and be angry? Tell me why that would be. Do they have no right to be angry? This is of course you knowing who is behind what is going on, which you refuse to acknowledge in any way whatsoever, so far. Are you of the jewish persuasion, perhaps?
I have Asperger Syndrome amongst other neurological deviations. Asperger Syndrome is very highly diagnosed amongst Jews, so I imagine there's a kind of connection there. Plus, Jews have always been hated and feared although not as much as autistics. But the distrust and resentment relates in both cases. I was watching XMen last night and that hit home.
Other than that, myself and Candid are simply expressing what we see. Even Tokeless and Richard also felt the same. That's four of us - two missing.
