Those 1980s horror movies were pretty good. Nightmare On Elm Street I have on DVD but I think the leading actress wasn't that great. Halloween was a classic. Karate Kid has to be a favourite as it was really different.

Here's the case I referred to. By the way, in my experience females can certainly be sexual predators but I think men prefer to brush that reality aside as uncomfortable. Way back in 1997, I recall a blond woman from Barcelona I'd met routinely in a quiet Spanish town. She was a teacher in a posh Jesuit school so very proper and formal. One day she popped in on me for a routine matter, wearing a raincoat, though it wasn't raining. Then she took off her coat casually and below that she was dressed up like a call-girl, short skirt, boots and face painted up. I recall being astounded and speechless. Of course, it was a cat and mouse game she'd dared herself to carry out.
I don't think that would happen to me today. Since the 1990s, I've gotten older, less hair and a faded prune as such.

St Bernadette
I'm reading a book about St Bernadette, which I've got into lately as part of my mystical journey.
What Himself and I watched tonight (Maggie Smith etc.) was a travesty, really, didn't capture what I've read.
Stuff happened at Massabielle, Lourdes, that couldn't be explained by modern science. And that was a LONG time ago.
There are better films about Lourdes that H won't watch. He and I are SO different.

Amazingly I was watching the old Spiderman cartoons they used to air in the 1970s. They seem very silly now but in those times Marvel comics were really big. I suppose light viewing relaxes me last thing at night.

I have it now on DVD but not yet watched it.
"Angels and Demons is not too bad, it comes in a form of entertainment. It is more intense than Da Vinci Code. I remembered that I had to pry my eyes open during the middle part of Da Vinci Code. It is long, not much suspense and consists of babbling about. Yawn. But Angels & Demons, the sequel, is more intense, has more suspense and action. Tom Hanks gets not only to exercise his brain but also his legs. The adventure requires him to move from one place to another."

XMen The Last Stand - too childish I thought. Reminds me how Bruce Lee did his best to make realistic kung fu movies, instead of people flying in the air. These mutants were way too exaggerated to project any reality.
Modern films are so often very low I.Q. stuff. Hitchcock was so different where you had a plot and suspense and dialogue. So, not impressed.
I still have the Da vinci code sequel to view. By the way, I knew Opus Dei people in Spain. They were big in that region. I had initial help from Opus Dei.

Ninth Gate was good. Funny thing is now I myself read ancient books on the occult. That movie was about a riddle to be solved via three books. Johnny Depp starred.

Angels and demons. Maybe these days I'm like Tom Hanks in that film. Angels would be "eudaemones" which is the pre Christian term. The "daemones" were the entities that give us psychic insight, mediums or seers. They aren't bad as the Catholic demons are thought to be.
