coffee and the will to live

I remember when I worked in a bar as a cook... I was active all day and it was essential to drink coffee to be awake and well active and more so because I'm a bit lazy... with coffee I was ten points... in my current job I don't do a lot... I work at my brother's veterinary... but I have little desire to live... I have schizophrenia and one of the symptoms of schizophrenia is demotivation... with coffee I feel that I regain motivation and the will to live... I feel euphoria and joy... I want to do things and I really enjoy my work... this led me to buy pure caffeine... but it made me very ill... it made me nervous, anxious and anguished... pure caffeine is very bad... but in its proper measure with two or three cups of coffee... they really generate a very positive effect on the mind..and it can make the difference between being at work, bored, bitter, and not wanting to live... to being at work with all the desire to live and get things done.

Maybe you AREN'T schizophrenic. Maybe you just need to stop drinking coffee.

It's an absolute plague upon the earth since every high street in the world now has at least one and often several chain-store coffee shops. On making a new acquaintance almost everyone says "let's have coffee together sometime".
I know. I got caught early, circa 1983, THEN took up night-shift work and gargled the stuff all day and all night because obviously there are some things every adult has to do during office hours.
Please read that link in which Ruth Whalen sounded a serious warning. In my efforts towards the mental health I once enjoyed, I now limit myself to two cups before noon, just the nasty instant variety. Out and about with someone else I'll occasionally have a hot chocolate (also contains caffeine but not as much). If there's whisky on the premises I pep up my decafs with it.
For me it started 50 years ago when the top class in high school got a common room with the doings instead of having to go out to the playground. Yes, I'm that old.
Thanks for the reminder. I'd do anything to prevent any young person getting started on this legal almost mandatory and very dangerous drug.
