The Bolt-hole

By April I hope and expect to be in my own bolt-hole (looking at two more prospects today), where I'll be offline. I'm doing it primarily in order to focus on my own writing projects, neglected for far too long due to both the www and Husband's presence. I'll be able to access the internet when I'm here [my present address] but nowhere near as frequently or for as long as I do now.
https://www.uncommonforum.com/viewtopic ... 35#p926735 while it lasts. Unfortunately I can't link to the post on index.php but it was post #545 on page 37.

I wrote that on October 30, 2021 and on our 17th wedding anniversary we're still cohabiting. The Bolt-hole has been a definite address since November 16 and April is still the guesstimate. This is the first time I've bought property in the UK and having bought and sold several properties in Australia I'm mystified by how LONG it takes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzrBvWMS-vA, actually beginning to doubt that it's the best option.

I'm just trying to get my life back.

As of yesterday, IT'S MINE!!
Today I'm beginning to move about a tenth of the contents from my present room (so packed with Stuff that I've actually been injured in here) to the new, bigger abode. In stages.
There's bugger-all room for packed boxes here, so small stuff first, empty boxes brought back to be refilled. Hundred of books line the walls...
Chief co-ordinator (Husband) hath decreed my actual furniture and my first night sleeping there will be April 23, at which point I bow out of the www.
Obviously I have to duplicate there some of the Things here. More expense. Oh well.
No doubt lots of stress during the move but I'm certain our marriage will be all the better for a bit of distance.

Today, a sunny one and the wind has dropped, I FEEL FANTASTIC!

I was right. I got back to H's yesterday with my overnight bag and am here probably until Tuesday morning. It's almost like old times, because he set up a Candid Corner with spare laptop in my old room, which ironically is so much pleasanter without the gazillion books in it.

I hoped I might find my friends quietvoice and theforsaken here, but why would they be? I got happy xmassed when I stepped outside for a puff and it caught me off-guard. H and I don't do Xmas (no offspring) but we do give a nod to the winter solstice. So I may come across as a saddo posting while much of the world is tucking into way too much rich food and oblivious to the enslavement and appalling poverty that's on its way, https://odysee.com/@yellowgenius:0/Dr-M ... About-It:f.

Good luck to them, I say. Especially (and sincerely) to all those who fell for the bullshit and had themselves jabbed, although I can't help wishing they weren't leading us all ever further into hell...
