Russian internet is still pretty good for finding films that Youtube can't show, although sometimes you can find the odd full movie on Youtube.
This is a film I just tracked on Russian video, which is only on a trailer feature on Youtube. Not sure if anyone has seen it but it starred Oliver Reed. It's a mild horror movie called "The Shuttered Room". The full film runs with Russian voice-over though you can catch bits of the English that runs simultaneously.
Basically, the girl in this film returns to her childhood home with her boyfriend. Oliver Reed plays a local bully with his hangers-on. The girl actually has a crazy sister she doesn't know exists and the sister is so dangerous she's locked up in a barn room.
I always liked these older horror movies and this is late 1960s. I may watched this last decades ago when we only had three TV stations. Probably we were healthier and more active without internet.

Reminds me of Jane Eyre, in which Jane accepts Mr Rochester's proposal, only to find he has a mad wife locked in the attic.

I've had this funny phase lately of "chasing memories" - often films I saw in childhood. It's weird but by re-watching the film it somehow makes me feel younger. The Shuttered Room was a pretty average horror movie but watchable. Oliver Reed was pretty big at that time as was Susan George. I do recall the guy in Shuttered Room used Karate against the local gang. And every so often someone stumbled into the barn room and got torn to bits by the crazy woman with the long nails. I also found "Witchcraft" that's open to watch on YouTube right through. Oddly the woman who played the witch in that 1960s film migrated one day to Australia and got a small part in Prisoner Cell Block H.

Another classic was The Wicker Man, filmed in Scotland. A very low budget film with a few locals as stand-in actors. Britt Eckland and Edward Woodward starred in it. I think you could tell it was on a low budget. Became a classic, though. Paul Giovani did the music.

I only use it to access published texts and download music. I no longer tend to use forums and this one only has 4 people posting.
A lot of my time now I read esoteric Latin.

Actually, I think the old three channel T.V. and radio was far healthier. T.V. quality was far higher and people went out more. Horror movies were on usually Friday night at 23.00 p.m.

There was a case of a beauty queen who was so infatuated with a Mormon friend she ended up having him kidnapped. She then forced him to break his vows and have sex. The case was called "The Manacled Mormon" and it got huge media cover. I suppose given the case that she was model material, it sounded like a fantasy scenario and sold papers. She even appeared on chat shows later.
