I'm rereading Richard Bach's Illusions for the umpteenth time.
I don't know how many copies I've bought and given away since I first read in in the early '80s.

Another favourite that I've just reread is
The Heroes of Clone by Margaret Kennedy.
Reading's a bit tricky for me since my brain injury (TBI). I've bought two other Kennedy books and keep forgetting who the characters are. Far from having eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, I get anxiety attacks when I'm three pages into an unfamiliar book and have to look back to find out who people are or what's doing on.

I like biographies, too. There are famous people of all kinds who write their own stories, or hire ghost-writers, and there are people who become famous through autobiography. Frank McCourt is a prime example, and Angela's Ashes was a great film.
His younger brother Malachy had a go as well. Very different personalities!

Today I was reading
About A Boy, having seen the film some time ago. My editor's pen came out a few times... I can't go past a split infinitive, a left-out comma, or ... anything that clunks in my mind, really.
Moved on to a book of my own that I hadn't looked at for a very long time. The indy publisher who took it on retired a long time ago, but I see it's still available POD all over the internet. Naturally I get no royalties...

Re-reading Angela's Ashes. What a writer Frank McCourt was!
