Nando, yes, he's on Facebook and became a child cardiologist. Lives in a nice part of Uruguay.
I know. The Fairchild was full of Uruguayans when it went down.
I've followed Nando online, but Facebook is a step too far for me!
I use Facebook to sometimes have a dig at the site. I find all this "friends" and "likes" stuff patronising. I very much resent the notion of my thoughts catering to what people may "like" to hear. Years of autism experience taught me people dismiss those who don't visually confirm to hierarchies.
The Puss has been in a funny mood. He slashed me the other day, leaving tiny marks on my hand. Not like him but I suspect he might have a bad tooth since he's no longer crunching his biscuits. I now grind the biscuits to powder and mix in his meat. Hopefully his tooth issue will settle.

... or you're going to need a vet.
I decided long ago to support his health care. If he needs a vet at some point, I'll foot the bills. However, both myself and The Puss try to be healthy and not mess with vaccines. I heard of cats that reacted badly to vaccines and also I know he'd not want to be messed with. He trusts me. For my age I'm some 20 years fitter than the norm and that's a Spartan lifestyle, hard exercise and lots of rest.
At present, there's way too much hypochondria. I haven't been to see any doctor over 12 years. So far no illness has put me on my back (except 3 hours to sleep it off). The Covid thing I probably have had but it was more an inconvenience than anything.

Good policy!

I know a lot of people have reacted badly to the covid jabs. Many of them are dead; many more are now living with monstrous disabilities.

I don't want to be messed with, either. But the WHO is gearing up to tell us we'll all die of monkeypox if we don't get jabbed.
Why is that? Because the modern generation is feeble minded and I.Q. steadily drops like a lead baloon. Look at peoples' physical bodies. It shows no self discipline to eat with moderation and exercise, rather than hop on E-skooters. I preach to the converted here but the NHS is a death trap. I know of scores of screwed operations. Sure, it used to be a decent set-up but it's now overcrowded.
The Puss full of affection today. He ate a big meal then lay next to me on the bed as I read a book. Cats may turn nasty if they get emotionally overloaded or feel offside. He's fine today.

You're so right about it being a deathtrap. I don't know about overcrowded. The surgery I go to has rows and rows of waiting-room chairs and people used to have to stand; for a long time now it's been almost deserted. They reel me in a couple of times a year and do a blood test. Last time I got a call from my doctor to say my cholesterol was high and I would have to start taking statins.
I said I'd rather adjust my diet, so he sent reams of stuff and I had a go. It certainly precluded a normal life.
Then H found something online that said statins had to be taken forever, and doctors were now prescribing them for millions.
It's the bloody pharmaceutical industry. Everyone's got to be 'hooked' on something, or Big Pharma doesn't make money.
Well, maybe I won't live too long. For now, though, I have the body of a person 20 years younger. My secret is brief, intense exercise and sleep. Once a week push-ups, handstand push-ups, chinups, sit-ups and so on. Cardio twice a week. If you watch Columbo "Exercise In Fatality" I'm a bit like that gym instructor who runs the gym chain. Most keep fit enthusiasts do too much, though, and lose the benefit. Sleep is very important. I avoid doctors.
